Globally, pepper prices on June 2, 2026 recorded no new fluctuations. Pepper prices are entering a recovery phase, supported by stronger exports to the U.S. and China, while also facing tighter global supply.
According to data from the International Pepper Community (IPC), Indonesian black pepper was quoted at $ 7,152/ton, Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper at $ 6,100/ton, and Malaysian black pepper at $ 9,350/ton.
In Vietnam, export prices for black pepper also remained stable at around $ 6,100-6,200/ton for 500 g/l and 550 g/l grades.
At the same time of the survey, Indonesia’s Muntok white pepper was offered at $ 9,231/ton. Meanwhile, export prices for white pepper in Malaysia and Vietnam were quoted at $ 12,250/ton and $ 9,000/ton, respectively.
Global pepper prices on June 2 remained stable compared to the previous day as global pepper production has not increased significantly. The global pepper market recorded mixed reactions but generally remained steady.

At the end of the last week of May, the global pepper market saw mixed but overall stable movements. Trading activities in several producing and consuming countries slowed due to the Eid al-Adha holiday, resulting in quieter market conditions. Despite tightening supply, the market’s fundamental factors remained unchanged.
In India, pepper prices continued to rise strongly last week. Market sentiment was supported by the Indian Rupee appreciating 1% against the U.S. dollar.
Similarly, both domestic and export pepper prices in Indonesia recorded increases. Although the Indonesian Rupiah weakened by 1% against the U.S. dollar, pepper prices still maintained their upward momentum. Trading activity remained moderate as several countries were observing the Eid al-Adha holiday.
Thus, global pepper prices on June 2, 2026 remained stable compared to the previous day.
Pepper prices on June 2 domestically
Vietnam’s domestic pepper market this morning recorded a broad decline, with prices falling by around VND 1,000-3,000/kg across major growing regions. As a result, purchase prices dropped to around VND 136,000-139,000/kg.
Dak Lak and Dak Nong (Lam Dong Province) led the decline, both falling by VND 3,000/kg to VND 139,000/kg.
In Ba Ria – Vung Tau (Ho Chi Minh City), pepper prices dropped by VND 2,000/kg to VND 137,000/kg.
Meanwhile, in Dong Nai and Gia Lai, prices declined by VND 1,000/kg to VND 136,000/kg, the lowest level nationwide.
