Promote processed dragon fruit in the U.S. market

On November 17, at the Rosemont Exhibition Center in Chicago, USA, the Vietnam National Pavilion was officially opened at the 2024 PLMA International Food and Beverage Trade Show.

This prestigious event brings together more than 1.500 exhibitors from over 50 countries, alongside thousands of key retailers and major importers. It provides a prime platform for Vietnamese brands to showcase their products and attract interest from international partners and consumers.

The Vietnam pavilion, which spans 200m² with 21 individual exhibition booths, prominently features a diverse range of products. These include processed food items, traditional spices, high-quality agricultural products, and signature beverages of Vietnam. Among the products displayed are processed dragon fruit items from Binh Thuan, such as dried dragon fruit, dragon fruit instant noodles, dragon fruit essential oil, dragon fruit candies, dragon fruit juice, and dragon fruit tea.

Mr. Huynh Canh, Chairman of the Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association, shared that the Association, along with three local businesses, participated in the trade promotion activities organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade at the fair in order to widely promote the image of dragon fruit. The goal is to search for new markets, expand the reach of Binh Thuan’s dragon fruit products, and help reduce the pressure on the export of fresh dragon fruit.

Mr. Canh emphasized that the processed dragon fruit products from Binh Thuan received a warm reception at the fair, with international customers showing great appreciation and enthusiasm for the products. The 2024 PLMA International Food and Beverage Trade Show will officially conclude on November 19.
