Pepper prices on November 8 globally
Globally, pepper prices on November 8 have rebounded in Indonesia.
Specifically, the price of black pepper from Lampung, Indonesia, rose by 0.47% to $ 6,665/ton. Meanwhile, white pepper from Muntok in Indonesia saw a slight increase of 0.46%, reaching $ 9,124/ton.
In Malaysia, the price of Kuching ASTA black pepper stands at $ 8,500/ton, while ASTA white pepper is priced at $ 11,000/ton.
In Brazil, the price of ASTA 570 black pepper has dropped significantly by 1.59%, settling at $ 6,300/ton.
In Vietnam, export prices for black pepper of the 500 g/l grade are at $ 6,500/ton, while the 550 g/l grade is at $ 6,800/ton. The export price of white pepper stands at $ 9,500/ton.
Global pepper prices today see a slight recovery in Indonesia after consecutive declines.
Meanwhile, prices in other markets remain unchanged.
Thus, global pepper prices on 11/08/2024, have increased again in Indonesia compared to the previous day.
Pepper prices on November 8 domestically
Domestically, pepper prices on November 8 have risen sharply compared to the previous day.
Specifically, in Dak Lak, pepper is being purchased at VND 138,500/kg, an increase of VND 2,500.
In Dak Nong, prices have risen by 3,000 VND, reaching 139,000 VND/kg.
In Gia Lai, pepper prices remain at VND 138,000/kg, up by VND 2,500.
Traders in Dong Nai are buying pepper at VND 138,000/kg, an increase of VND 3,000.
In Ba Ria – Vung Tau, prices have surged by VND 3,500, reaching VND 139,000/kg.
In Binh Phuoc, traders are purchasing pepper at VND 138,000/kg, up by VND 3,000.
The total import turnover for the past 10 months has reached $ 131.3 million. Compared to the same period last year, pepper imports have increased by 27.1%, and the value has risen by 78.5%.
Indonesia has become the largest supplier of pepper to Vietnam, accounting for 36%, with 10,287 tons, marking an increase of 257.2% compared to the same period. Brazil followed with 9,013 tons (31.5%), down by 35.5%, and Cambodia contributed 6,695 tons (23.4%), marking an increase of 96.7%.
Thus, on 11/08/2024, domestic pepper prices are trading in the range of VND 138,000 – 139,000/kg.
