Pepper prices on November 13 globally
Globally, pepper prices on November 13 continued to decline in Indonesia.
Specifically, Lampung black pepper in Indonesia fell by 0.6%, reaching $ 6,518/ton, while the price of Muntok white pepper in the country also dropped by 0.6%, down to $ 9,122/ton.
In Malaysia, Kuching black pepper ASTA is priced at $ 8,500/ton, while white pepper ASTA is at $ 11,000/ton.
In Brazil, the price of ASTA 570 black pepper is trading at $ 6,000/ton.
In Vietnam, exported black pepper with a density of 500 g/l is priced at $ 6,200/ton, and 550 g/l is at $ 6,500/ton. Meanwhile, exported white pepper stands at $ 9,400/ton.
The global pepper prices on November 13, 2024, decreased slightly in Indonesia but remained steady in other markets.
Thus, on November 13, 2024, global pepper prices saw a slight decline in Indonesia compared to yesterday.
Pepper prices on November 13 domestically
In the domestic market, pepper prices on November 13 experienced a significant decrease compared to yesterday.
Specifically, Dak Lak continues to purchase pepper at VND 139,000/kg, a decrease of VND 2,000;
Pepper prices in Dak Nong dropped by VND 2,200, reaching VND 139,000/kg;
Pepper prices in Gia Lai remain at VND 138,000/kg, a decrease of VND 2,000;
Traders in Dong Nai are purchasing pepper at VND 138,000/kg, down by VND 1,000;
Pepper prices in Ba Ria – Vung Tau decreased by VND 2,000, now at VND 138,000/kg;
Traders in Binh Phuoc continue to trade pepper at VND 139,000/kg.
Domestic pepper prices today remain unchanged in Binh Phuoc but have dropped significantly by VND 2,200 in other key areas. As a result, the commodity has fallen to the price level of VND 139,000/kg.
According to the General Department of Customs, in October, Vietnam’s pepper exports reached 18,415 tons, worth $ 120.6 million, an increase of 7.7% in volume and 9.1% in value over the previous month. However, compared to the same period last year, exports decreased by 4.8% in volume but increased by 65.3% in value.
Cumulatively, in the first 10 months of the year, pepper exports reached 218,732 tons, worth $ 1.11 billion, a decrease of 3% in volume but a 47% increase in value compared to the same period in 2023.
Thus, domestic pepper prices on November 13, 2024, are trading around VND 138,000 – 139,000/kg.
