Globally, pepper prices on May 22 remained flat across the board.
Accordingly, the price of black pepper Lampung in Indonesia held at $ 7,379/ton, while white pepper Muntok remained at $ 10,062/ton.
In Malaysia, Kuching ASTA black pepper was priced at $ 9,200/ton, and white pepper ASTA continued to trade at $ 11,900/ton.
In the Brazilian market, ASTA 570 black pepper was traded at $ 6,650/ton.
Meanwhile, in Vietnam, export prices for black pepper grade 500 g/l were $ 6,700/ton, and grade 550 g/l was at $ 6,800/ton. Export white pepper remained at $ 9,700/ton.

Latest domestic and global pepper prices on May 22, 2025
Global pepper prices showed no new changes today and remain high due to tightening supply after the harvest season and expectations of increased demand from the Middle East and Europe in the second quarter of 2025.
Currently, the general price trend of pepper remains stable. Although pepper prices in 2024 increased compared to the same period last year, new planting areas have not expanded due to limited land and a shift by farmers to other crops.
Thus, global pepper prices on May 22, 2025, remained unchanged from yesterday.
Pepper prices on May 22 domestically
In the domestic market, pepper prices on May 22 declined slightly in some localities compared to yesterday.
Specifically, Dak Lak today traded black pepper at VND 152,000/kg, down VND 1,000.
Similarly, the price in Dak Nong also dropped to VND 152,000/kg.
In Gia Lai, pepper remained steady at VND 150,000/kg.
Traders in Dong Nai continued to purchase at VND 151,000/kg.
Ba Ria – Vung Tau held at VND 151,000/kg.
In Binh Phuoc, trading also remained at VND 151,000/kg.
Thus, domestic pepper prices on May 22, 2025, are ranging between VND 150,000 – 152,000/kg.
