(VAN) Thanks to stable production, cinnamon exports in 2024 grew in both volume and turnover, bringing the country hundreds of millions of dollars.

According to the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), despite being affected by storms and floods in 2024, especially Typhoon Yagi, Vietnam’s cinnamon production in 2024 is assessed to be quite favorable. Harvest output is estimated at around 80,000 tons.
In 2024, Vietnam’s cinnamon exports reached 99,874 tons; total export turnover reached USD 275 million. Compared to 2023, export volume increases by nearly 12%, and export turnover increases by 5.2%.
India is Vietnam’s largest cinnamon export market in 2024, reaching nearly 36,000 tons, accounting for 36%. The US is the second-largest cinnamon export market, reaching 11,000 tons, accounting for 11%. Bangladesh ranked third with 7,928 tons, accounting for 8% and increasing by 43% compared to 2023.
