Coffee prices on October 20 globally

Globally, coffee prices on the London and New York exchanges on October 20, 2025, showed no new movements.

On the London Robusta exchange, the November 2025 contract remained at $4,552/ton, while the January 2026 futures contract remained at $4,478/ton.

Global coffee prices remained stable today. Over the past week, however, the world coffee market surged, with Arabica for November 2025 and December 2025 contracts rising 1.61% and 6.54%, respectively.

Last week’s market movements centered on trade negotiations between the United States and Brazil, and declining global coffee inventories reached their lowest levels in months.

The U.S.–Brazil trade talks held on Thursday were viewed positively, as both sides agreed to arrange a high-level meeting between Presidents Donald Trump and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva “as soon as possible.” However, no specific agreements have yet been announced.

Vietnam’s Robusta grade 2 (5% black and broken) is currently offered at $50/ton below the January LIFFE contract. In Indonesia, the same grade is being offered $ 30–40/ton lower, reversing last week’s premium levels. Farmers in West Lampung have warned that next season’s output could drop by up to 25% due to prolonged rain.

In Brazil, the domestic market remains quiet as farmers sell cautiously. The weaker Brazilian real against the U.S. dollar is creating selling pressure, while exporters ramp up purchases to meet futures contracts. Rainfall in the main Arabica growing regions has helped maintain stable cultivation conditions, with temperatures hovering around 25°C.

Thus, global coffee prices on October 20, 2025, were unchanged from the previous day.
