With many years of experience, Mr. Anh is known as the “eel king” in the West. At the end of October, he harvested a pond and collected about 1.8 tons of fish.
Mr. Ho Quoc Trang, Chairman of Tan Thanh Commune Farmers’ Association, said that the commune’s eel farming industry has been in business for more than 20 years and is the main model of the locality. Currently, the area for eel and goby farming is over 250 hectares, with about 420 households.
Mr. Anh’s eel farming model has high economic efficiency, contributing significantly to the local socio-economic development. “He also regularly supports breeds, production experience, and capital for households in difficult circumstances when they need to raise this specialty fish,” Mr. Trang said.
