Reasons for the sharp increase in pepper prices: According to experts, domestic pepper prices have surged due to strong demand from major export markets such as China, the US, and the EU. Additionally, Vietnam’s pepper supply remains limited due to a reduction in cultivation area and unfavorable weather conditions in recent times. Farmers are also holding back on sales, anticipating further price increases, which has added upward pressure on prices.
