(VAN) The two companies officially signed a cooperation agreement to export deep-processed Vietnamese agricultural products and bring authentic flavors into the Japanese market.

Tam Nong Vietnam Cooperative and Hoa Doanh International Joint Stock Company (Hoa Doanh Foods) officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement on the afternoon of March 3 in Ho Chi Minh City. According to the contract, both parties aim to introduce high-standard processed products into the Japanese market. Consequently, this partnership will enhance the value of Vietnamese agricultural products on the international market as well as offer the Vietnamese community in Japan the opportunity to enjoy the authentic flavors of their homeland.

Tam Nong Vietnam Cooperative will distribute traditional Vietnamese delicacies such as banh nam, banh loc, cha muc, cha tom, etc. to the highly demanding Japanese market.

Tam Nong Vietnam Cooperative will distribute traditional Vietnamese delicacies such as banh nam, banh loc, cha muc, cha tom, etc. to the highly demanding Japanese market.

Nguyen Thi Van Anh, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Tam Nong Vietnam Cooperative, emphasized that both companies have established this partnership on the principles of transparency, responsibility, and sustainability. Notably, the parties are responsible for strictly supervising every stages, from production and quality control to product traceability, to ensure compliance with Japan’s demanding regulations.

“Our partnership with Hoa Doanh Foods will introduce new opportunities and reinforce the position of Vietnamese agricultural products in a challenging market such as Japan. We are committed to working alongside farmers to create products that meet export standards as well as preserve the essence of our country,” Van Anh stated.

Hoa Doanh Foods currently supplies over 200 deeply processed products to various international markets, including the United States, Japan, and South Korea. However, according to Ho Thi Ai Hoa, General Director of Hoa Doanh Foods, its partnership with Tam Nong Vietnam Cooperative marks a significant milestone as the company expands further into Japan’s highly regulated market.

“This collaboration will develop beyond our existing product lines—it will expand in scale, variety, and volume. It is a tangible step toward realizing Hoa Doanh Foods’ aspiration of bringing Vietnam’s rich culinary heritage to every corner of the world,” Ai Hoa remarked.

The companies will officially export their products to Japan and distribute them through the TB Market system. Tra Giang Thanh, a representative of TB Market, shared a heartfelt story regarding his early years living away from home, when a simple bottle of fish sauce or a pack of instant noodles became a rare source of comfort for his homesickness.

Motivated by his dream to bring Vietnamese food closer to the overseas Vietnamese community, Thanh was determined to open a store specializing in Vietnamese agricultural products in Japan. However, these products must meet the country’s rigorous quality standards to establish a firm foothold in the market.

“The collaboration between Tam Nong Vietnam Cooperative and Hoa Doanh Foods will be a crucial factor that turns this dream into reality. As a result, both Vietnamese people in Japan and locals will have the opportunity to enjoy traditional and high-quality delicacies such as banh nam, banh loc, cha muc, and cha tom,” Thanh added.

The first container shipment under this partnership is expected to depart for Japan in early April 2025. Consequently, it will mark a significant step in the country’s efforts to enhance the global value of Vietnamese agricultural and processed food products.

Tam Nong Vietnam Cooperative officially launched on July 2, 2023, in Ho Chi Minh City with the mission of supporting farmers and developing high-quality agricultural products. The cooperative was established to connect and promote clean, organic products with a vision for international export.

Tam Nong Vietnam Cooperative focuses on key areas such as research, application, and development of high-tech agriculture; providing agricultural infrastructure and equipment for farmers; supplying input materials and securing output markets for products; and exporting agricultural goods. These efforts are compatible with Vietnam’s strategy for a green and sustainable agricultural sector.

Tam Nong Vietnam Cooperative is headquartered and operates in Cu Chi District. Ho Chi Minh City has outlined a development strategy to transform Cu Chi into a hub for high-tech agricultural production. The establishment and operations of Tam Nong Cooperative help further this vision. Additionally, the cooperative’s contributions will accelerate the city’s transition toward urban agriculture.

One of Tam Nong Vietnam Cooperative’s most ambitious initiatives is the research and application of bamboo cultivation, along with the design and production of “Bamboo Houses.” Shortly after its inception, the cooperative has signed agreements with multiple partners in France to showcase and export bamboo-based furniture and modular houses to this market.
