(VAN) The Quy Nhon Outdoor Lifestyle Fair 2025 (Q-FAIR 2025) held in Quy Nhon city (Binh Dinh) showcases the peak of Vietnam’s wood products through 1,200 booths.

On March 6, in Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh People’s Committee coordinated with Binh Dinh Timber and Forest Products Association to organize an international outdoor lifestyle fair.

Following the success of the 2024 International Outdoor Lifestyle Fair, the 2025 International Outdoor Lifestyle Fair (Q-FAIR 2025) is held on a larger scale and with a higher sense of professionalism. The fair brings together more than 1,200 booths on an area of 30,000 m², with hundreds of domestic and foreign enterprises registering for participation.

According to Le Minh Thien, Chairman of the Binh Dinh Timber and Forest Products Association, Head of the Q.fair 2025 Organizing Committee, the wood industry maintained its position as one of the six key export commodity groups in 2024, contributing USD 16.3 billion to Vietnam’s export turnover, an increase of 21% compared to 2023.

Binh Dinh’s wood industry in particular has exceeded the USD 1 billion mark for the first time, contributing 62% of the total export turnover of Binh Dinh province. Vietnam’s wood industry is constantly expanding its markets in the USA, EU, Korea, Japan, and China, showing its strength as the world’s leading wood furniture manufacturing and exporting country.

“Q-FAIR 2025 is an opportunity for businesses to exchange, promote products, expand markets and grasp new trends in the wood industry. This year’s fair has invested heavily in exhibition space, with many creatively designed wooden booths, clearly demonstrating the development potential of the Vietnamese wood industry in the international market,” says Chairman Le Minh Thien.

Outdoor products serving modern lifestyle are divided into five main display areas: Area for interior and exterior wooden furniture, raw wood, accessories, paint, wood industry accessories such as packaging, fabric, and services…; area for wooden houses; area for wooden houses and outdoor furniture in sandy beach; area for machinery, equipment for wood processing and production. Q-FAIR 2025 opens up a special space for domestic and international visitors to see and experience the positive development as well as the potential of Vietnam’s wood industry.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Nguyen Tuan Thanh, Permanent Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee, mentions the locality’s large area of forest and forestry land of approximately 414,644 ha. To be specific, there is 136,395 ha of planted forest and 64,207 ha of non-forested land. Considering the forest coverage rate of 57.7%, Binh Dinh’s forest coverage is in the fairly good group among Central Coast provinces. Organizing the annual fair will become an important step in Binh Dinh’s wood industry development strategy, thereby shifting Binh Dinh’s wood industry toward a green and sustainable direction, applying advanced technology and digital transformation.

According to Nguyen Tuan Hung, representative of the Department of Forestry and the Department of Forest Protection, Vietnam’s wood processing industry has overcome many difficulties to maintain growth in 2024, notably the efforts of wood associations and enterprises in the production and processing of forest products.

The successful organization of annual fairs on wood and wood products is considered a highlight. The 2024 International Outdoor Lifestyle Fair has attracted a wide variety of customers, contributing to bringing the export value of wood and forest products in 2024 to a record high, reaching over USD 17.34 billion, accounting for 27.7% of the export value of the agricultural sector, up 20% compared to 2023.

Vietnam’s wood industry continues to bring the export value of wood and wood products to rank sixth globally and second in Asia, maintaining its dominant position among Southeast Asian countries. These are encouraging results, demonstrating the continuous efforts of businesses, and associations and the support of state management agencies.

“To achieve the wood and forestry products export target of over USD 18 billion by 2025, in the context of many unpredictable fluctuations, diversifying product consumption markets through organizing trade promotion activities and connecting markets plays an extremely important role. Therefore, organizing Q-FAIR 2025 is an essential and suitable move considering the reality of production. It is not only an opportunity for businesses to display uniquely designed and high-quality wooden and outdoor products, but also a way to demonstrate creativity and application of advanced technology and machinery,” says Nguyen Tuan Hung.
