Projecting to boost the export of durian productsIntroducing unique fruit products from VietnamCultivated relationships with numerous Chinese clientsHoping to find reliable and potential partnersIn order to approach the market progressively, it is imperative to comprehend the culture and habits of Chinese consumers

(VAN) The debut Vietnam Fruit Festival held in Beijing, China has drawn several Vietnamese enterpises to join, display and promo their products.

Projecting to boost the export of durian products

Mr. Nguyen Huu Hieu, Sales Director of Dong Giao Export Food Joint Stock Company (Doveco), expressed his intention to increase the export of durian products. He stated, “At the debut Vietnam Fruit Festival, Doveco introduced a variety of products, including pineapples, passion fruit, and durian, as well as both fresh and processed products.” The Chinese market is vast and brimming with potential, not only for Doveco but for all Vietnamese produce businesses. For many years, Dong Giao has been exporting to the Chinese market through official channels. Our consumers consistently make payments promptly.

I observe that the domestic market in Vietnam still has substantial potential. It is imperative that Vietnamese enterprises collaborate in order to further the development of Vietnamese fruit in the Chinese market. Currently, the most significant obstacle in the Chinese market is the escalating quality standards. Nevertheless, Doveco has satisfied all of the standards, product quality, and requirements, as the company has been exporting to China and numerous other markets.

Passion fruit is currently one of our most popular products in China. We will augment the export of durian products in the near future. We are optimistic that Vietnam will increase the export of processed fruit products in addition to fresh produce. At the same time, we will increase official exports due to the lack of safety associated with informal exports.

Introducing unique fruit products from Vietnam

Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh Thuy, International Director of the TH Group, stated in an interview with Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper that the company is committed to fostering a partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to promote fresh fruit products and deeply processed fruit products from Vietnam.

Alongside the dairy products that TH has officially exported to the Chinese market, including fresh milk and processed dairy products (yogurt, fruit milk, butter, cheese), TH also introduced new style products, such as dried fruit and herbal tea, at the Vietnam Fruit Festival. These products are in alignment with the group’s strategy of sustainable agriculture, green economy, and circular economy development, and are of high quality.

It is evident that China is a potential market, given its substantial population and elevated demand. Nevertheless, this market is also extremely competitive, as products are required to adhere to all stringent food safety regulations. This presents a significant obstacle for Vietnamese enterprises. Nevertheless, this challenge presents an opportunity for TH, as the company has historically prioritized the development of products that are advantageous to the community.

Cultivated relationships with numerous Chinese clients

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang, Sales Director of U&I Agriculture Joint Stock Company (Unifarm), stated at the Vietnam Fruit Festival in Beijing that China is a highly promising market for Vietnamese fruit businesses, including Unifarm. She was exhibiting products at a kiosk. Unifarm introduced products such as bananas, dried bananas, and plant seedlings at this festival in anticipation of establishing relationships with Chinese partners and consumers.

At present, Unifarm’s bananas are exported to numerous countries and territories worldwide, including China, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, and Japan. Unifarm is exceedingly confident in the quality of its bananas, as its production capacity is inadequate to satisfy the demands of these markets. Many customers visited the festival on the first day, and the company was able to establish connections with several customers in China in anticipation of future long-term collaborations.

Hoping to find reliable and potential partners

According to Ms. Do Thi Thuy, a representative of Thành Nam Import and Export Company, the company is exhibiting two primary products at the Vietnam Fruit Festival: durian (fresh and refrigerated) and cashews, with a particular emphasis on raw cashew nuts. Our organization exports cashews worldwide, while durian is primary exported to the Chinese market.

“In the past, the export of durians to China encountered numerous challenges; however, the market has recently become more favorable as a result of the joint efforts of the authorities of both countries.” At present, businesses such as ours continue to encounter numerous obstacles, including new regulations regarding region codes, packaging codes, and export codes. Consequently, it is imperative that the organization conducts a thorough investigation into these matters.

“We hope that after the festival, we will find reliable and potential partners in the agricultural sector, especially for durians, as these are products where Thanh Nam has a competitive advantage.”

In order to approach the market progressively, it is imperative to comprehend the culture and habits of Chinese consumers

Ameii Vietnam’s products, which are being displayed at this festival, are processed from Vietnam’s unique agricultural products, including durian coffee, coconut coffee, and traditional Vietnamese coffee, according to Mr. Nguyen Khac Tien, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ameii Vietnam Joint Stock Company.

Ameii Vietnam’s durian coffee has already been exported to China and is distributed through e-commerce channels there. Additionally, Ameii Vietnam introduced banana cake, a product that is well-received in the Chinese market, and is considering the importation of this item.

We aim to enhance the value and brand of Vietnamese agricultural products by identifying new, reputable suppliers to export processed agricultural products to the Beijing market and China in general through this trade exchange.

The demand for high-quality agricultural products is on the rise, and the Chinese market has significant potential. Nevertheless, in order to satisfy consumer demand and preferences, it is imperative that we enhance the quality of our products and adhere to all applicable food safety regulations, packaging, and labeling. In order to progressively establish a presence, it is imperative that we comprehend the habits and culture of Chinese consumers, as their approach to new products is significantly different.

Ameii Vietnam experienced substantial success on the inaugural day of the festival, as numerous Chinese consumers visited our display space. This presents an opportunity for Ameii Vietnam to further capitalize on the Chinese market in the immediate future.
