On the global market, the latest pepper prices on April 3, 2026, according to data from the International Pepper Community (IPC), show that Indonesia’s black pepper is currently listed at $7,115/ton, down $5/ton from the previous day.
In other major producing countries, prices generally remain stable. Brazil’s ASTA 570 black pepper is currently traded at $ 6,150/ton, while Malaysia’s black pepper is priced at $ 9,300/ton.
In Vietnam, export black pepper prices continue to be maintained in the range of $ 6,000-6,100/ton for grades 500 g/l and 550 g/l.
At the time of the survey, Indonesia’s Muntok white pepper price decreased by $7/ton from the previous day, reaching $9,374/ton.
In Malaysia and Vietnam, white pepper prices are traded at $12,200/ton and $8,900/ton, respectively, unchanged from the previous day.

According to the International Pepper Community (IPC), the global pepper market in the last week of March generally remained stable, with price movements driven mainly by supply conditions in individual countries and exchange rate developments, rather than by systemic changes.
In India, the pepper market saw adjustments in both domestic and export prices compared to the previous week, amid a slight weakening of the Indian Rupee against the USD ($93.93 INR/USD).
The Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) reported that, according to data from the US International Trade Commission, US pepper imports in January 2026 reached 7.4 thousand tons, valued at $ 55.8 million, down 16.7% in volume and 9.6% in value compared to January 2025.
The average import price of pepper into the US market in January 2026 reached $ 7,535/ton, down 0.3% compared to December 2025, but up 8.6% compared to January 2025.

In India, pepper prices saw slight adjustments as the domestic currency weakened against the USD, affecting export activities. Meanwhile, Indonesia maintained stability after the Eid al-Fitr holiday as trading activities gradually returned to normal.
Malaysia recorded a slight increase in export prices, reflecting stable international demand. In contrast, Sri Lanka showed a slight downward trend due to exchange rate impacts.
Domestic pepper prices have adjusted upward, while export prices remain stable. This indicates that the global market still maintains good absorption capacity despite high price levels. A notable point is that, while many agricultural commodities are experiencing strong fluctuations, pepper has maintained relative stability due to the fact that global supply is not yet truly abundant.

Dak Nong (Lam Dong province) pepper prices increased by VND 1,000/kg, purchased at VND 140,000/kg.
Gia Lai pepper prices today increased by VND 500/kg, trading at VND 138,500/kg.
