Pepper Prices on December 31 domestically
Domestic pepper prices today range from 146,000 to 147,000 VND/kg in key growing regions. Some areas have seen slight increases or decreases compared to yesterday, as follows:
Central Highlands Region
- Dak Lak: Pepper price remains stable at 147,000 VND/kg.
- Gia Lai: Price has decreased slightly by 500 VND/kg, now at 146,000 VND/kg, the lowest in the country.
- Dak Nong: Price remains unchanged at 147,000 VND/kg.
Southeastern Region
- Ba Ria – Vung Tau: Price remains the highest in the country at 147,000 VND/kg.
- Binh Phuoc: Price has increased slightly by 500 VND/kg, now at 147,000 VND/kg.
- Dong Nai: Price also increased by 500 VND/kg, reaching 147,000 VND/kg.
Overall, today’s domestic pepper prices show some regional variation. While Gia Lai experienced a slight decrease, regions like Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai saw price increases. Experts suggest that domestic pepper prices are still maintaining high levels, ranging between 146,000 and 147,000 VND/kg.
Pepper Prices on December 31 globally
On the international market, pepper prices today continue to trend stable, with some slight increases in certain countries. According to the International Pepper Community (IPC) report, the prices of black and white pepper in major exporting countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Brazil, and Vietnam are updated as follows:
- Indonesia: The price of Lampung black pepper increased slightly by 0.55%, reaching $ 6,855/ton, while the price of Muntok white pepper also rose by 0.55%, reaching $ 8,970/ton.
- Malaysia: The prices of ASTA black and white pepper remain stable at high levels, at $ 8,500/ton and $ 10,700/ton, respectively.
- Brazil: The price of ASTA 570 black pepper remained unchanged, staying at $ 6,275/ton.
- Vietnam: The price of black pepper, 500 g/l and 550 g/l, reached $ 6,400/ton and $ 6,700/ton, respectively, while the price of white pepper remained stable at $ 9,600/ton.
