Coffee prices on May 9 globally

Globally, coffee prices on both the London and New York exchanges rose again on May 9, 2025.

Specifically, Robusta coffee on the London exchange for July 2025 delivery increased slightly by $26 (equivalent to 0.5%), reaching $5,265/ton. The September 2025 contract also rose by $26 (0.5%) to $5,213/ton.

Meanwhile, on the New York exchange, Arabica coffee for July 2025 delivery rose by 3.25 cents (0.85%) to 387.35 cents/lb. The September 2025 contract edged up by 3.1 cents (0.82%) to 381.80 cents/lb.

According to data from Vietnam Customs, in the first four months of the year, Vietnam exported 665,889 tons of coffee worth $3.8 billion, down 9.1% in volume but up 51.8% in value compared to the same period in 2024.

According to UCDA, Uganda’s coffee exports in March totalled 642,981 bags, an increase of 308,425 bags or 92.19% compared to the same period last year.

Thus, coffee prices on May 9, 2025, increased slightly compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices on May 9 domestically

In the domestic market, coffee prices continued to decline compared to the previous day.

In Lam Dong province, the districts of Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha all trade coffee at VND 128,000/kg.

In Dak Lak, Cu M’gar district is purchasing coffee at VND 128,300/kg, while Ea H’leo and Buon Ho are trading at VND 128,200/kg.

In Dak Nong province, traders in Gia Nghia and Dak R’lap are buying at VND 128,400 and VND 128,300/kg, respectively.

In Gia Lai, Chu Prong district is trading at VND 128,300/kg, while Pleiku and La Grai are maintaining prices at VND 128,200/kg.

In Kon Tum, the coffee purchasing price today is VND 128,200/kg.

Domestic coffee prices today edged up slightly by VND 200–300, helping the commodity hold firmly at the VND 128,000/kg mark.

Thus, coffee prices on May 9, 2025, in the domestic market are ranging from VND 128,000 to 128,400/kg.
