Global coffee prices rose again today, supported by a weaker U.S. dollar, though gains were limited by news that the EU has postponed the implementation of the EUDR to December 30, 2026, and by moves from several parties seeking to negotiate lower tariffs on Brazilian coffee entering the U.S., which pressured the market.
A recent study conducted by the Brazilian Coffee Association (ABIC) in collaboration with the Axxus Research Institute showed that about 24% of Brazilians have reduced their coffee consumption, a sharp increase compared to just 3% in 2023 and 5% in 2021. Meanwhile, only 2% of respondents said they increased their coffee intake in 2025, a steep decline from 16% in 2023 and 49% in 2021.
