In recent days, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, 59 years old, in Thanh Tri hamlet (Tan Quoi commune) has been on duty at the Thai jackfruit and Indo red-fleshed jackfruit garden of more than 5,000 m2 to pump water, fertilize, and spray nutrients, at a cost of more than 50 million VND, hoping the trees will recover.
He said more than 700 jackfruit trees, about 5 years old, are producing good fruit, most of them are grade 1, weighing 9 kg or more. Every month he harvests 4 times, yields 6-7 tons, bringing 180-250 million VND with the current selling price of 25,000-27,000 VND/kg of Thai jackfruit and 65,000-67,000 VND/kg of red-fleshed Indo jackfruit.
