Global pepper prices today showed no new changes. In the latest trading session on March 25, 2026, the market did not record any significant fluctuations.
According to data from the International Pepper Community, Indonesian black pepper is currently quoted at $ 6,994 /ton. Meanwhile, Brazilian black pepper (ASTA 570) remains at $ 6,050 /ton, and Malaysian black pepper is listed at around $ 9,100 /ton.
For Viet Nam, export black pepper prices continue to stay in the range of $ 6,300 – $ 6,400 /ton for 500 g/l and 550 g/l grades. In the white pepper segment, Indonesia’s Muntok white pepper is priced at $ 9,260 /ton, while white pepper from Viet Nam and Malaysia stands at $ 9,050 /ton and $ 12,100 /ton, respectively, unchanged from the previous day.
The sideways movement in global pepper prices indicates that the market is currently in balance, as new crop supply begins to enter the market while demand has yet to show a clear breakout.
According to data from the Statistics Indonesia (BPS), the country’s pepper exports in January 2026 reached approximately 3,665 tons. This figure increased by 20.1% compared to the previous month but decreased by 25.2% year-on-year.
In terms of market structure, Viet Nam was the largest destination for Indonesian pepper, with a volume of 1,522 tons, accounting for 41.5% of total exports and increasing by 11.6% compared to the same period last year.
This was followed by the United States with 631 tons, accounting for 17.2% but down 40.9% year-on-year. India ranked third with 321 tons, accounting for 8.8%, down 29.1%. Notably, South Korea rose to fourth place with a volume of 288 tons, while in the same period last year, trade volume was almost negligible.
In Indonesia, heavy rainfall continues across many pepper-growing regions, while the flowering stage has begun in areas such as Lampung and South Sumatra.
Thus, global pepper prices on March 25, 2026 remained unchanged compared to the previous day.

In the domestic market, pepper prices on March 25 remained stable compared to the previous day.
Pepper prices in Dak Lak today continued to be traded at VND 139,000/kg (up VND 3,000/kg).
Pepper prices in Dak Nong (Lam Dong province) were still purchased at around VND 139,000/kg (up VND 3,000/kg).
Pepper prices in Gia Lai were traded at VND 137,000/kg (up VND 2,000/kg).
Traders in Dong Nai continued to trade pepper at VND 137,500/kg (up VND 2,000/kg).
Pepper prices in Ba Ria – Vung Tau (Ho Chi Minh City) were traded at VND 137,500/kg (up VND 2,000/kg).
Meanwhile, traders in Binh Phuoc (Dong Nai province) continued to trade pepper at VND 137,000/kg (up VND 2,000/kg).
