(VAN) Coffee prices on September 18, 2025, fell sharply. Domestic coffee prices have dropped by another VND 4,800, trading around VND 115,800 – 116,700/kg.

On the global market, prices on both the London and New York exchanges continued to plunge sharply on September 18, 2025.
Specifically, Robusta prices on the London exchange for September 2025 delivery dropped by $ 331 (equivalent to 6.62%) to $ 4,668/ton. The November 2025 contract also fell steeply by $ 331 (or 6.92%) to $ 4,450/ton.
Meanwhile, on the New York exchange, Arabica prices for September 2025 delivery sank by 33.70 cents (equivalent to 8.23%) to 375.65 cents/lb. The December 2025 contract lost as much as 33.25 cents (or 8.51%) to 357.30 cents/lb.

Global coffee prices continued their downward trend today as investors sold off after ICE raised margin requirements on Arabica contracts.

Meanwhile, the US Federal Reserve (Fed) has cut its benchmark interest rate by 0.25 percentage points, bringing the new range to 4–4.25%, marking the first adjustment of the year. The Fed stated it will continue to reduce rates by another 0.5 percentage points within this year and further cuts will follow in 2026 and 2027, in response to inflation conditions and the current import tariff policy.
Thus, global coffee prices on September 18, 2025, still declined sharply compared to yesterday.

The domestic coffee market on September 18, 2025, remains on a downward trend.
Specifically, in Lam Dong province, the Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha areas are all trading at VND 115,800/kg.
In Dak Lak province, the Cu Mgar area today is purchasing coffee at VND 116,500/kg, while the Ea Hleo and Buon Ho areas are trading at VND 116,400/kg.
In Dak Nong province, traders in Gia Nghia and Dak Rlap are trading at VND 116,700/kg and VND 116,600/kg, respectively.
In Gia Lai province, the Chu Prong area is trading at VND 116,200/kg, while Pleiku and La Grai are maintaining levels of VND 116,100/kg.
Meanwhile, coffee purchasing prices in Kon Tum province today stand at VND 116,100/kg.
