On the global market, pepper prices continued their upward trend, particularly in major exporting countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia, and Brazil. However, Chinese white pepper prices recorded a slight decline, reflecting a short-term adjustment.

- Vietnamese black pepper export price: $ 4,000/ton, unchanged from yesterday.
- Indonesian black pepper price: $ 3,850/ton, up $ 10/ton.
- Brazilian black pepper price: $ 3,890/ton, up $ 15/ton.
- Chinese white pepper price: $ 5,940/ton, down $ 20/ton.
Factors influencing global pepper prices
- Stable consumption demand: Major markets such as the US, Europe, and the Middle East continue to import large quantities of pepper to meet food processing and seasoning needs.
- Limited supply: Unfavorable weather conditions in key producing countries, particularly Vietnam and Indonesia, have reduced output, exerting upward pressure on prices.
- Stable USD exchange rate: The US dollar remains strong, supporting pepper prices in the international market.

Pepper prices on March 22 domestically
On the domestic market, today’s pepper prices recorded a slight decline in some key provinces. Pepper prices ranged from VND 159,000 – 160,000/kg, down VND 500/kg compared to yesterday. This marks the first adjustment after a continuous price increase over the past week.
Specifically, pepper prices in Gia Lai decreased slightly by VND 500/kg from yesterday, with the local buying price now at VND 159,000/kg.
Similarly, pepper prices in Ba Ria – Vung Tau dropped by VND 500/kg, with the current purchase price at VND 159,000/kg.
After a slight increase in the previous session, Binh Phuoc pepper prices reversed and fell by VND 500/kg, now trading at VND 159,000/kg.
Meanwhile, pepper prices in Dak Lak remained stable with little fluctuation compared to the previous session, currently being purchased at VND 160,000/kg.
In Dak Nong, pepper prices remained unchanged, maintaining the highest level in the country at VND 160,500/kg.
