Coffee prices on April 25 globally
Globally, coffee prices on April 25, 2026 weakened on both the London and New York exchanges.
On the London exchange, robusta for July 2026 delivery fell by $ 24 (equivalent to 0.67%) to $ 3,483/ton, while the September 2026 contract dropped by $18 (or 0.52%) to $ 3,403/ton.
On the New York exchange, arabica for July 2026 delivery declined by 5.45 cents/lb (equivalent to 1.8%) to 294.90 cents/lb, while the September 2026 contract decreased by 3.25 cents/lb (or 1.12%) to 285.10 cents/lb.
Global coffee prices today recorded a decline, particularly on the New York exchange where arabica fell by more than 1.1% compared to the previous session. This reflects pressure from expectations of more abundant global supply, especially as Brazil enters its new harvest season, along with profit-taking activities by investors after the recent rally.
Despite the end-of-week decline, overall weekly performance remained positive, with arabica up 3.7% and robusta up 7%. However, selling pressure from producing countries, especially Brazil, is increasing and weighing on the market. According to experts, currency fluctuations, particularly a stronger USD weakening the Brazilian real, have encouraged farmers in Brazil to accelerate sales.
