Pepper prices on April 8 globally

According to the International Pepper Community (IPC), global pepper prices today continue to remain stable, with slight fluctuations in some major markets. Specifically, black pepper from Lampung, Indonesia is currently listed at $ 7,239/ton, while white pepper from Muntok stands at $ 10,066/ton.

The Malaysian pepper market also recorded stability, with black pepper ASTA priced at $ 9,850/ton and white pepper ASTA at $ 12,300/ton. In Brazil, the purchase price of black pepper ASTA 570 is currently at $6,950/ton. Although global pepper prices have not seen major changes, experts warn that if supply from key producing countries such as Indonesia, Vietnam, and Brazil does not improve, the global market could face prolonged shortages.

Pepper prices on April 8 domestically

In the domestic market, pepper prices today (April 8, 2025) remain stable, with no major fluctuations compared to the previous trading session. The average purchase price of pepper in major regions is VND 154,200/kg.

In Dak Lak, the pepper purchase price is VND 155,000/kg.

In Gia Lai, the price stands at VND 153,000/kg.

In Dak Nong, pepper is also being bought at VND 155,000/kg.

In Ba Ria – Vung Tau, the price is VND 154,000/kg.

In Binh Phuoc, the purchase price remains at VND 154,000/kg.

In Dong Nai, pepper is being purchased at VND 154,000/kg.

Today’s pepper price in Gia Lai province remains stable at VND 153,000/kg, while Ba Ria – Vung Tau also shows no significant change, with the purchase price at VND 154,000/kg. Dak Lak and Dak Nong record the highest prices, reaching VND 155,000/kg. This situation indicates stability in pepper prices, despite strong fluctuations observed earlier in the past week
