Latest Arabica and Robusta prices on March 13, 2026
Global coffee prices surged today due to ongoing concerns about supply disruptions caused by the conflict in the Middle East, although the agricultural commodity is still facing pressure from the prospect of a bumper coffee harvest in Brazil this year.
Traders said the basis (the difference between spot prices and futures prices) continues to widen in major coffee-producing countries such as Brazil and Colombia.
The main reason is that farmers are limiting sales when market prices weaken. After several years of relatively high coffee prices, many growers have accumulated stable financial resources, allowing them to delay selling and wait for more favourable price levels.
In this context, on March 12, brokerage firm StoneX significantly raised its forecast for Brazil’s coffee production in the 2026–2027 crop year to a record 75.3 million bags (60 kg each). This figure is 6.5% higher than the previous forecast and 20.8% higher than the 2025–2026 crop year.

StoneX noted that the 2025/26 crop year was significantly affected by unfavorable weather conditions, so early forecasts for the season were quite cautious. However, the production outlook has improved as newly planted areas have begun to produce harvests and many plantations have recovered.
Meanwhile, trading company Comexim forecasts Brazil’s coffee production for the 2026/27 crop year to reach around 71.1 million bags, an increase of 12.5% compared with the previous season. The company also noted that Brazilian farmers are currently selling slowly and that the new harvest season may begin earlier than usual.
Thus, global coffee prices on March 13, 2026, recovered compared with the previous day.
