Global market analysis

Although global pepper prices have not seen significant changes, major producing countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia, and Brazil are facing production difficulties due to unfavorable weather conditions. This has led to a decline in output, while demand for pepper imports in the food and spice industries continues to rise. A strong USD is also providing positive support for pepper prices in the international market.

Key producing countries are grappling with major challenges, including Salmonella contamination and increasingly stringent food safety regulations. These factors may impact their export capabilities, particularly in Brazil, where pepper exports to Europe have nearly come to a halt due to changes in import regulations.

Pepper prices on April 1 domestically

According to the latest survey, domestic pepper prices on April 1, 2025, recorded a slight decrease of VND 1,000/kg compared to yesterday, currently trading in the range of VND 158,000 – 159,000/kg. Specifically, purchase prices in key regions have been updated as follows:

In Dak Lak, pepper is priced at VND 159,000/kg, a decrease of VND 1,000.

In Gia Lai, pepper is priced at VND 158,000/kg, a decrease of VND 1,000.

In Dak Nong, pepper is priced at VND 159,000/kg, a decrease of VND 1,000.

In Ba Ria – Vung Tau, pepper is priced at VND 158,000/kg, a decrease of VND 1,000.

In Binh Phuoc, pepper is priced at VND 158,000/kg, a decrease of VND 1,000.

In Dong Nai, pepper is priced at VND 158,000/kg, a decrease of VND 1,000.
