In the global market, both the London and New York exchanges continued to see strong increases on November 21.

Specifically, Robusta prices on the London exchange for January 2025 delivery rose by $ 142 (equivalent to 3.05%), reaching $ 4,798/ton. Meanwhile, the March 2025 contract increased by $ 133 (equivalent to 2.89%), standing at $ 4,742/ton.

On the New York exchange, Arabica prices for March 2025 delivery surged by 11.2 cents (equivalent to 3.98%), reaching 292.50 cents/lb. The May 2025 contract also gained 10.95 cents (equivalent to 3.92%), settling at 290.25 cents/lb.

Global coffee prices continue to rise strongly despite the USD remaining high.

Hedge funds have increased their purchases after prior short-selling activity. The market remains concerned about erratic weather in Brazil, which could impact next season’s production.

Meanwhile, a decrease in Vietnam’s coffee export figures for the first half of November 2024 has also supported the price surge.

Thus, global coffee prices on November 21, 2024, have maintained their strong upward trend compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices on November 21 domestically

Domestically, the coffee market today, November 21, sees a sharp increase of VND 1,300 compared to yesterday.

Specifically, in Lam Dong province, the districts of Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha are trading at VND 114,500/kg.

In Dak Lak province, Cu M’gar district is purchasing coffee at VND 115,000/kg, while Ea H’leo and Buon Ho are trading at VND 114,900/kg.

In Dak Nong province, traders in Gia Nghia and Dak R’lap are transacting at VND 115,100/kg and VND 115,000/kg, respectively.

In Gia Lai province, Chu Prong district is trading at VND 114,800/kg, while Pleiku and La Grai are both holding steady at VND 114,700/kg.

In Kon Tum province, the purchase price today is VND 114,700/kg.

Domestic coffee prices on November 21, 2024, continue to rise significantly, pushing this agricultural product to the VND 115,000/kg mark.

According to statistics from the General Department of Customs, Vietnam’s coffee exports in Q3 2024 reached $ 1.12 billion, up 52.6% compared to the same period in 2023. However, export volume decreased by 12.9%, totalling 212,926 tons.

Thus, on November 21, 2024, domestic coffee prices are trading in the range of VND 114,500 – 115,100/kg.
