(VAN) CIAME Asia Viet Nam 2026, Asia’s leading agricultural machinery exhibition, will take place in Viet Nam for the first time this July.
On April 15, 2026, the launch ceremony of the Viet Nam International Agricultural Machinery Technology Exhibition 2026 (CIAME Asia Viet Nam 2026) was held in Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of state management agencies, industry associations, businesses, and domestic and international media. This marks the first time CIAME has been organized in Viet Nam.

CIAME Asia Viet Nam 2026 is a Viet Nam–China cooperation activity in agricultural mechanization, jointly organized by Chinese agricultural machinery associations (China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association, China Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Association, and China Agricultural Mechanization Association) in collaboration with the Viet Nam Institute of Agricultural Engineering and Post-Harvest Technology (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) and the Viet Namese Society of Agricultural Engineering. The event also receives support from the Department of Cooperatives and Rural Development (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) and the Viet Nam Cooperative Alliance.
Building on the success of CIAME Asia 2025 in Thailand (which attracted more than 16,000 visitors from over 40 countries), CIAME Asia Viet Nam 2026 has been upgraded in both scale and quality, aiming to become a leading platform for agricultural machinery cooperation in Southeast Asia. In the context of growing demand for mechanization in Viet Nam’s agricultural sector, the exhibition is expected to serve as a platform connecting businesses, managers, and producers.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Cao Xuan Thu Van, President of the Viet Nam Cooperative Alliance, emphasized, “For cooperatives to develop rapidly and sustainably, they cannot lag behind in mechanization. For agriculture to enter a new stage of development, an appropriate foundation of machinery and technology is indispensable.”
Therefore, Ms. Van noted that CIAME Asia Viet Nam 2026 creates a significant opportunity for Vietnamese cooperatives to access equipment, technologies, management experience, and mechanization solutions better suited to their production conditions. It also provides a platform to strengthen linkages between cooperatives and enterprises, aligning practical demand with technological supply capacity, toward substantive, long-term, and mutually beneficial cooperation.
CIAME Asia Viet Nam 2026 will take place from July 23–25, 2026, at Sky Expo Center, Quang Trung Software Park, Trung My Tay Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The exhibition will feature more than 200 participating enterprises, most of which are selected Chinese companies. The event is expected to attract over 18,000 professional visitors from Southeast Asia and other countries.
The exhibition will showcase a wide range of products, including tillage machinery, seeders, plant protection equipment, harvesting and post-harvest processing machines, and smart agricultural machinery.
In addition to agricultural machinery and equipment displays, the exhibition will host trade conferences, technology seminars, and thematic forums to promote technology transfer and international cooperation in agricultural machinery. Numerous corporations and enterprises in the agricultural engineering sector have confirmed their participation.

Chinese agricultural machinery is currently widely used in Viet Nam. According to Mr. Vu Van Tien, Deputy Director General of the Department of Cooperatives and Rural Development, 70% of agricultural machinery in Viet Nam is imported, of which Chinese products account for up to 60% of imported agricultural machinery and equipment, thanks to their affordable pricing for farmers and strong adaptability to diverse agricultural production conditions across Viet Nam’s regions.
Mr. You Linh, Vice President of the China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association, noted that Viet Nam is centrally located in Southeast Asia and possesses abundant agricultural resources, with key crops such as rice, sugarcane, cassava, coffee, and fruits and vegetables. Chinese agricultural machinery products, with advantages in prices and practical applicability, are well suited to agricultural production needs in Viet Nam and the region, particularly in the segment of small- and medium-sized machinery.

In 2025, Viet Nam’s import turnover of agricultural machinery from China reached USD 451 million, marking an increase of nearly 36% compared to the same period. This figure not only reflects trade growth but also indicates that Chinese agricultural machinery has been effectively deployed in Viet Nam’s fields, contributing to improving production efficiency for farmers.
With a history of more than 40 years, CIAME is a reputable exhibition brand in the field of agricultural machinery and is recognized as the largest agricultural machinery exhibition organizer in Asia. The exhibition brings together leading enterprises in agricultural automation and digital transformation, focusing on solutions applying AI, IoT, and smart technologies to enhance productivity, optimize operations, and promote sustainable agricultural development.
