Coffee prices on September 24, 2025: The market turns downward

(VAN) Coffee prices on September 24, 2025, fell sharply. Domestic coffee prices are down by VND 1,500, trading around VND 111,000 – 112,000/kg.

On September 24, 2025, prices on the global market, both the London and New York exchanges, turned sharply downward.

Specifically, Robusta prices on the London exchange for November 2025 delivery dropped by $ 162 (equivalent to 3.79%) to $ 4,118/ton. The January 2026 contract also fell steeply by $ 149 (or 3.52%) to $ 4,079/ton.

Meanwhile, on the New York exchange, Arabica prices for December 2025 delivery plunged by 17.20 cents (equivalent to 4.68%) to 350.15 cents/lb. The March 2026 contract lost 12.85 cents (or 3.69%) to 350.15 cents/lb.

Global coffee prices plunged today after U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he may meet with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva next week. This has raised hopes that the U.S. 50% tariff on Brazilian coffee could be reconsidered.

Arabica and Robusta inventories monitored by ICE have both fallen sharply, dropping to their lowest levels in 17 months and nearly 2 months, respectively.

In Africa, Uganda recorded an 8.2% decline in coffee export value in August compared to the same period last year, even though output rose slightly thanks to a good harvest. Coffee continues to serve as one of the country’s key foreign exchange earners, alongside gold—its two main export commodities amid global economic turbulence.

Thus, global coffee prices on September 24, 2025, turned sharply downward compared to yesterday.

In Vietnam, the domestic coffee market on September 24, 2025, also reversed lower compared to yesterday.

Specifically, in Lam Dong province, the Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha areas are all trading at VND 111,000/kg.

In Dak Lak province, the Cu Mgar area today is purchasing coffee at VND 112,000/kg, while the Ea Hleo and Buon Ho areas are trading at VND 111,900/kg.

In Dak Nong province, traders in Gia Nghia and Dak Rlap are trading at VND 112,000/kg and VND 111,900/kg, respectively.

In Gia Lai province, the Chu Prong area is trading at VND 111,500/kg, while Pleiku and La Grai are maintaining levels of VND 111,400/kg.

Meanwhile, coffee prices in Kon Tum province today are being purchased at VND 111,400/kg.

Thus, domestic coffee prices today, September 24, 2025, are trading around VND 111,000 – 112,000/kg.
