Coffee prices on June 18 globally
Global coffee prices today continued to rise strongly as investors covered short positions amid concerns over harvest progress in Brazil.
On the London exchange, July 2026 robusta futures maintained a positive trend, rising 0.3% ($ 11/ton) from the previous session to $ 3,680/ton. The September 2026 contract increased by 0.67% ($24/ton), reaching $ 3,622/ton.

On the New York exchange, July 2026 arabica futures also edged up by 0.22% (0.6 US cents/lb) to 277.85 US cents/lb. However, the September 2026 contract fell by 0.33% (0.9 US cents/lb) to 271.9 US cents/lb.

Global coffee prices showed that September robusta futures have risen for six consecutive sessions, with a total gain of $ 392/ton, while arabica has also increased by 31 US cents/lb.
Brazil’s largest coffee cooperative, Cooxupé, said its farmers had harvested only 15.8% of the 2026 coffee crop as of June 14. This was the lowest rate in four years, as El Niño-related rains disrupted harvesting activity last week.

However, although the rains affected harvest progress, Brazil’s coffee crop size is believed to remain unchanged, though quality may be affected.
GSZ Commodities said: “Seasonal factors are still exerting downward pressure on prices. Rain is slowing harvest progress and affecting quality, but a record crop is still limiting price gains unless damage becomes more severe.”
Meanwhile, El Niño is particularly unfavorable for robusta coffee because it usually brings higher temperatures and lower rainfall to Vietnam, the world’s largest robusta producer, and Indonesia, the world’s third-largest producer, from mid-year onward.
Thus, global coffee prices on June 18, 2026, recorded mixed movements across major exchanges compared with the previous day.
