According to the report, in 2025, China’s coffee market reached approximately CNY 354.9 billion (equivalent to USD 51.9 billion), up 13.3% year-on-year. Within the framework of the event, Consul General of Viet Nam in Shanghai Tran Huy Hung held discussions with Vice Mayor Luo Shan on Viet Nam’s coffee exports, while also visiting the booth of Trung Nguyen – one of Viet Nam’s leading coffee brands.

In 2025, Viet Nam was the third-largest coffee supplier to China, exporting 36.1 thousand tons, equivalent to USD 227.1 million. According to Grand View Research, coffee consumption in China is rising, driven by the expansion of processed products and the growth of urban coffee culture. Roasted coffee accounts for the largest revenue share, while instant coffee is experiencing the fastest growth.

According to the latest report from the Guangxi Data Development Authority (China), Trung Nguyen currently has 20 importers, more than 300 secondary distributors, and 26 branded coffee shops operating in the Chinese market.
