The growth is attributed mainly to coffee prices, which have consistently remained high in recent months, averaging 5,500 USD per ton. This is an increase of more than 70% compared to the same period last year. Coffee is not only the province’s key export commodity but also the main driver behind the surge in export turnover.
At present, Gia Lai province is focusing on building coffee production linkage chains to improve productivity and product quality, while simultaneously promoting innovation in preliminary processing, preservation, and deep processing to increase added value.
In recent years, Gia Lai has consistently accompanied and supported enterprises in seeking partners, expanding markets, enhancing competitiveness, strengthening market information and forecasting, and effectively leveraging free trade agreements to boost coffee exports.
