(VAN) Da Nang established an exhibition space for Ngoc Linh ginseng for the first time, acting as a recurring trade promotion hub for locals and tourists.
On the evening of July 10, 2026, the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the An Hai Ward People’s Committee and the Da Nang Ngoc Linh Ginseng Association, launched the 2026 Ngoc Linh Ginseng and Medicinal Herbs Promotion Program.
Anchored on the theme “The Journey of National Treasure Ngoc Linh Ginseng – Connecting Exhibition Spaces for Ginseng and Medicinal Herbs in Da Nang,” the initiative runs at the East Bank of Dragon Bridge Park. The fair features 50 pavilions, assembling enterprises, cooperatives, and processing units specialized in medicinal crops.

According to Mr. Huynh Xuan Son, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade, this marks the first time such an expansive promotional program has been staged in the city. Moving forward, authorities plan to run the exhibition as a recurring monthly event.
The framework aims to project the medical properties of Ngoc Linh ginseng, build solid connection channels between producers and consumers, and blend trade promotions with cultural tourism.
Rather than operating as a passive marketplace, the event functions as an interactive experience hub. Visitors can deeply explore structural production steps, research medicinal values, verify geographical origins, and master empirical methods to distinguish authentic Ngoc Linh ginseng from counterfeit alternatives.

Concurrently, the event integrates e-commerce sales, digital streaming promotions, business-to-consumer networking, and vibrant weekend cultural arts performances.
Through these interactions, cooperatives and manufacturing facilities gain direct access to wholesale distributors, locking in retail partnerships and expanding investment collaborations.
The Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade emphasizes that transitionary short-term fairs often limit long-term corporate visibility. By institutionalizing this program into a stable monthly schedule, the city equips agricultural enterprises with a consistent marketing platform, helping build enduring consumer trust in verified, certified medicinal products.

Scientifically classified as Panax vietnamensis, Ngoc Linh ginseng is a precious medicinal plant endemic to Vietnam, globally renowned for its exceptionally high natural saponin concentration and rich bioactive compounds.
This wild crop is currently preserved and developed primarily across the high-altitude niches of the Ngoc Linh mountain range, extending across the Tra Linh, Tra Tap, Tra Van, and Tra Leng communes, alongside specialized cultivation zones in Da Nang.
Given its unique medicinal properties, high economic margins, and strong brand equity, Da Nang designates Ngoc Linh ginseng as a core flagship item in its long-term pharmaceutical sector roadmap, maximizing mountainous geographic edges to augment local agricultural value.
Following its debut on July 10-11, 2026, the promotional space will open regularly from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM every Saturday and Sunday during the second week of each month.
